Kam Yin harnesses his unique observation to sculpt the world as his heart sees it. Obsessed with creating teapots and different animals, Kam Yin is adroit at sculpting on clay to concretely realize the designs in his head or in his sketches. The Back Story

As seen in many of his works, Kam Yin has his distinctive approaches in sculpting the world as his heart perceives them. The sizes, ratios, shapes, and expressions may differ greatly from what is conventionally known, but they exude a brilliant vitality, one feels its spirit brimming with life.

It was in Kam Yin's design sketches for his Amber Rainstorm series and Butterfly series of works that we began to discover the key to enter his creative world. Through the sketches, we began to understand that for the teapot-making enthusiast, the emphasis has always been on the idea or the design, and the realization of its spirit in concrete ceramics, rather than functionality. He focuses on accentuating the lines and energy of his works, breaking boundaries as he progresses in leaps and bounds along the path of creation.
