The Back Story
Bo Wo began creating his Owls series of works in 2012, but never explained where the idea came from, until 2015 when the work was invited to be exhibited at the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale. It was then that he revealed the origin of this series of works.
Bo Wo shared that while visiting the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens with his family one time, he saw five owls that he felt mirrored his own family - his father, his mother, his two sisters, and himself. From there, the creation of the owl tribe hence began.
As much as Bo Wo appears as if he could not care less, he loves his family deeply. His family is his number one always and the source of his inspirations.
