Tam Leung Hung

Tam Leung Hung reengaged in ceramic creation in 2016 and often demonstrates the power of sculpture through concise forms and rich textures. Through Leung Hung's sincere touch, clay sculptures become elegant yet naive, resembling strokes of genius from nature itself. The profound dialogue between clay and Leung Hung cannot be described in words. It can only be experienced by holding his works in the warmth of one's palm.

The Back Story

When Leung Hung encountered ceramics in 2005, he was serious about his career and passionate about lifting heavy objects and delivering courier services. Engrossed in his courier work at the sheltered workshop, he declined the opportunity to learn the craft of ceramics.

That is, until early 2016, when he said yes to returning, and delved into creating again.

Being the forthright person that he is, he creates straight from the heart and with such intensity. Building his clay with no inhibitions, he constructs towers after towers of sculptures. The works he creates transport viewers to a raw, pure world, that much resembles his very own direct, amicable disposition.
