承蒙伍集成文化教育基金會慷慨贊助，《泥啦 師傅仔》項目於2022年12月正式展開。逾40位「師傅仔新鮮人」，由「玩泥沙」開始，反覆觀察、探索、調整、突破，按著各自的步伐，一步步認識陶藝、認識世界、認識自己，並以非語言形式——陶泥和創作，呈現箇中觸感、發現和領悟。
20組展品中，有些是陶藝初體驗之作，表現出單純的創作熱情和欲望；有些是經驗相對豐富的新晉師傅仔的作品，展現出多一份自信和自覺；有些是練習時誤打誤撞的神來之筆；有些則是一次再一次的推倒、重來，再推倒重來的心血結晶。技巧上，大概還有不少可以琢磨的空間，然而創作時所流露出的喜悅、好奇和勇氣，每一次都是唯一一次。
泥，一直都在——在我們發現之前，已經在這裡了——如同世間的美好、我們與生俱來的才能和意義。它們正從容地張開雙臂，讓想抱抱的人隨時伸手擁抱，讓希望保持距離的人靜靜地待在安全範圍，直至適當的時機到來。
延伸活動︰
展覽期間每日下午2-4時，設「師傅仔導賞團」環節，由師傅仔駐場，即席示範，與大家互動。

Welcome to the show!
More than 40 Ci-fu Jai ‘freshmen’ have been taking part in the well-structured ceramics courses offered by the Project ‘Ceramists Let’s Go’, funded by C. C. Wu Cultural & Education Foundation Fund, since December 2022. Beginning from random play with clay, to serious exploration of materials, forms and techniques, Ci-fu Jai have been learning not only to make ceramics, but also to visualise their understanding and interpretation of the world and their inner selves in a nonverbal way.
As a wrap up of phase 1 (2022-23), there are 20 sets of works showcased in this exhibition. Those created by newbies are rather innocent and surprising; those created by the relatively more experienced further develop and demonstrate a sense of artistic consciousness. Technically speaking, a lot of improvements could be made. However, the enjoyment, the creativity and the empowerment revealed by and radiated from each tiny unique piece are remarkable.
Open your mind and heart, be prepared to read the unwritten, to listen to the unsaid, and to embrace the creativity and authenticity of our ‘Ci-fu Jai 2.0’.
Extension activities: Ci-fu Jai Demo Tours
Ci-fu Jai will show up at the Gallery and demonstrate how they create their pieces. Do come and join us on Tue - Sat at 2-4pm during the exhibition period.
